How to Replace nFep Film

Films are Made in Japan, Cut and Packed in China

E10 vat is molded with non-corrosive plastic and fits EPAX E10 series 3D printers.  It can support an 8.9" screen or 10.1" screen on E10.  Each vat comes with a sheet of nFEP film already installed, so it will arrive ready to use. 

• E10 molded vat only fits the E10 printer
• E6 molded vat is for the E6 printer

Choose the right build platform for your model.  There are two molded build platform available.  One for E10 printer and one for E6 printer. 

This low-cost molded build plate has metal sheet attached to bottom and comes with all of the parts necessary to install it quickly and easily into your printer. All that is necessary is to calibrate the plate to your machine. It is calibrated in the same way as any our build plate.

 

Note that you must level this build plate for your printer.  The build plate is dedicated to one of your printers and cannot be used with other printers without releveling to that printer.  So please mark the build plate to the printer name.

This tape should be installed on top of your LCD screen to help protect your printer from resin spills as well as hold your LCD screen in place. It will prevent any leaked resin from dripping underneath your screen and potentially damaging your printer. It will also hold your screen in place if you have to lay your printer down to perform maintenance, etc.

The 10.1" screen tape is cut and sized to fit EPAX X10 with 10.1" 2K color screen printers. It is ready to install.

The 8.9" screen tape is cut and sized to fit EPAX X10 with 8.9" 4K mono screen printers and EPAX E10 printers. It is ready to install.

This is the screen tape ONLY. Replacement LCD screens must be purchased separately.

Please choose the right kit for your printer.  E10 and X10 use different brackets.

The EPAX X10/E10-8K 10.1 inch upgrade kits are made for all E10 and X10 machines with the parallel light source already installed.

Replacing your screen always involved re-leveling your build plate.

ALWAYS make sure your vat is free from any debris and that the build plate has nothing on it before starting a new print job.  Monochrome screens are more expensive due to being produced in smaller volumes only for 3D printing.

Epax screen protectors are similar to a cell phone's anti-scratch screen protector but are tailored to work with Epax Printers. Epax screen protectors are a great way to protect your LCD screen from potential damage that may occur if there is a resin spill.

Please make sure you choose the right screen size for your model.

There are protective films on both sides of the screen protector.  When you apply the protector, you need to peel off the film labeled "back" and then apply using the plastic spatula to the screen's surface carefully, starting from one corner. Having some bubbles may be unavoidable but they should not affect your prints.

This is a replacement Z-axis motor and lead screw for EPAX LCD resin printers. The X156 motor does not come with a lead screw.

This is an alternate, optional build platform for the EPAX E10 3D printer. Its top bracket is unique to E10 printers. All E10s can be upgraded to a metal build plate.

Make sure that you order these for your E10 printer.  This is not for the X10 printer.

It is made from soft aluminum with a sandblasted surface for the best adhesion and print removal, and it is constructed to be stable for minimal re-leveling.

Be sure to get the correct version for your E10. The 14/16K version will not fit on a 4/5/8K E10 and the 4/5/8K version will not fit on a 14/16K E10.

Metal Build Plate benefits

Using this build platform will minimize resin accumulation on the top of the plate, allowing it to more readily drip back into the vat during printing. This makes clean-up and print removal faster, easier, and less messy overall so that you can spend more time printing.

This build plate comes with all of the parts necessary to install it quickly and easily into your printer. All that is necessary is to calibrate the plate to your machine. It is calibrated in the same way as our other build plates.

If you are upgrading an older E10 that has a plastic build plate, you'll also need the E10 metal build arm kit. The metal plates will not fit onto the plastic build arm. You can find the metal build arm kit here.

The way to install it is similar to X10's build plate.  Please refer to the below video for installation:

The Slotted Optical Switch is used to determine the home position of all Epax3D machines. If you are having issues with the build plate rising when you press the home button, your build plate thinking its at the home position when it's not, the red light on the optical switch flickering or not coming on at all, then you may need to replace the Optical Switch.

This is the replacement build plate knob for Epax 3D printers. Please make sure you select the correct knob for the machine you have.

As pictured. This is the touchscreen ONLY. The ribbon cable is not included. 

The 3.5" color TFT touchscreen is compatible with EPAX printer models including X1 series, E6, E10 series and X10 series. It comes covered with a protective film and is ready to install.

The E10-4K/X10-4K mainboard is a replacement mainboard for EPAX E10 and X10 LCD printers with the 8.9" 4K mono screen.  This is the mainboard only and does not include any cables, connectors, or other components.

This magnetic pad and steel plate are compatible with the E10 Version 2 All-Metal Rounded build plate or the original Molded build plate pictured below. It is attached to the existing build platform using an adhesive magnetic pad. This item does not come with the build platform itself. Not recommended for dental use.

1, Clean your existing Metal Build Platform well.  Make sure no IPA is left on the existing build surface since IPA can dissolve the glue of the magnetic pad.

2, Glue magnetic pad to the existing build platform.  The pad comes with glue pre-applied.

3, Put the steel plate on.

4, Re-level the new whole Build Platform similar to before.

Caution:

You can use IPA to clean steel plate and magnetic pad surface.  But not to soak the magnetic pad into IPA.  Doing that will lead to the separate of the pad from build platform since IPA can dissolve the glue. 

If you just want magnetic pad+steel plate, or just steel plate, please choose the right option below.  Note that these magnetic pad and steel plate are only compatible with E10/E10-5K LCD resin printer.  It fits well to the E10 series Molded Build Platform.

NOTE: Before printing with new build surface, be sure to calibrate it for your EPAX 3D printer.

This magnetic build plate comes ready to install on your build platform quickly. After applying the magnetic pad and steel plate to your existing build platform, you must relevel your build platform because of the increased height of the build surface. Failure to relevel/recalibrate your build platform could result in damage to other parts such as the LCD screen.

These are the replacement resin vat screws for Epax 3D printers. These screws hold the vat in place during the printing process. Please make sure you select the correct screws for the machine you have.

If you order from another country and require a different plug style, you can replace the cord. The cord detaches from the power brick.

The USB extension cable connects from the mainboard inside of the printer to the outer case of the machine.

The Ethernet extension cable connects from the mainboard inside of the printer to the outer case of the machine.

The new E10 all-metal build arm reinforces the printing assembly for a longer lifetime of printing. 

When printing models with a center of mass further from the guide rail, a higher magnitude of stress is exhibited by the build arm. By implementing the all-metal build arm into your printer assembly, less fatigue becomes natural. 

For customers looking to print larger and heavier models, the rigid all-metal build arm features less deflection and deformation. This allows for greater accuracy and consistency in printing success.

These films are composite films with a coating on one side to ensure great slippery.  Used in LCD, DLP and SLA machines where fast printing is more important than quality/durable parts.

Note:  The sides are directional.  Do not put it upside down.  See instructions on the film.  There is a protective film on the actual eSLIP film.  The protective film needs to be removed.

Difference between nFEP film and eSLIP/ACF film:

nFEP film is more elastic.  As such, it is less likely to be damaged by residues in vat.  It is recommended for all resin 3D printers, especially jewelry/dental applications where details and quality are more important.  nFEP film has great air permeability, which leads to less vacuum suction force.

eSLIP/ACF film is more rigid and slippery.  As such it needs a smaller lifting distance and prints can run faster.  Printers with eSLIP film can have an overall 40% speed gain due to lower lifting distance needed.  You also need to increase your bottom exposure time and normal exposure time by 20% because the film has 20% less light through rate.  It is recommended for all resin 3D printers where faster printing is more important than outstanding details.  However, if you leave residues in vat, the film is a bit easier to get damaged than nFEP film.  The coating, and the 0.3mm thickness, lead to a bit loss of light accuracy.  Fast printing resins, because they flow like water, are also not able to make strong and tough parts.  Parts tend to be more brittle.  As such, we don't offer fast printing resins.  You can use the film with normal resins and it can still speed up somewhat due to lower lifting distance alone.
